Fans of point and click adventure games can expect new release in October

Book of Unwritten Tales reaches UK retail

Lace Mamba has announced that point and click adventure game The Book of Unwritten Tales will see a UK release at retail in October this year.

The game has already found success in Germany, where it was developed by KING Art Games. Now, alongside the UK release, it will be available in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Scandinavia and other European territories.

The Book of Unwritten Tales is touted as a humorous homage to the RPG and fantasy genres and features four playable heroes: the little gnome Wilbur, the elf princess Ivo, human adventurer Nate and the Critter – a strange shaggy creature that has been following Nate ever since an earlier adventure.

Jason Codd, managing director of Lace Mamba Global, explains the game’s appeal: “In Germany, The Book of Unwritten Tales is one of the best rated and bestselling adventure games in years. It is a great, straight-forward addition to our line up and proves our position as the leading adventure game publisher in the UK, Ireland as well as Australia and New Zealand. We’re very much looking forward to releasing this great game in our territories and bringing it to the adventure gaming fans that have been waiting for an English release for so very long. Now the English version of this adventure game will finally become available.”

“We are delighted to cooperate with an experienced publisher like Lace Mamba Global. The Book of Unwritten Tales has always been intended for an international audience and we are pleased that finally our game can be enjoyed by adventure game fans all over the world”, said Jan Theysen, creative director KING Art Games.

The game has received good review scores in Germany and could well see some demand from PC adventure fans.
