PCR explains how to get hold of the Spider Podium universal grip, as seen on TV

Mobile gadget makes waves on The Apprentice

Breffo’s Spider Podium crawled onto shop shelves all over France in tonight’s episode of The Apprentice.

The innovative phone holder helped seal a victory for Team Venture as Apprentice contestants had to sell unique British products into the French market.

Alongside a car seat that could be transformed into a rucksack, the Spider Podium sold well into independent retailers across Paris.

Distributed by Peak Development, with an RRP of £14.99, the universal grip can be used for portable devices from phones to MP3 players to GPS devices, in all sorts of surroundings from cars to bikes.

It has eight notched legs, which both securely hold items and also give a number of options for placing or hanging the holder. The device has a rubber shell which can absorb shocks. And it allows plenty of access to whatever it’s holding so that they can be used and charged. It’s available in black or white.

Breffo has also developed the Spider Podium tablet (not seen on The Apprentice, alas), which as the name suggests can support larger items such as iPads. This is priced at £24.99.
