Directory Opus 10 arrives for Windows

Veteran software developer GP Software has launched an updated Directory Opus 10 file manager and explorer replacement for Windows.

As with previous versions, Directory Opus 10 replaces the default Windows file manager windows with a rather more capable version including support for viewing media, handling file archives, searching and copying files etc.

The new version improves archive support, adding formats such as the popular 7zip archive format. Better support for Windows 7 features such as the Libraries is on offer as well as improved network performance and folder tree handling.

GP Software have also updated the built-in FTP client including better support for proxies. Additional image and audio formats are also supported for viewing directly from the file manager.

Directory Opus 10 is available as a discounted upgrade from version 9 as well as a new purchase. The software is offered with single, dual and five-system licenses for multiple computers.

A 60 day evaluation version of Directory Opus 10 is available from the GP Soft web site and the firm published a set of screenshots of the new version.
