Apple launches Apple Store 2.0 10th anniversity update

Apple has unveiled a refresh of the Apple Store retail design dubbled Apple Store 2.0 to mark the 10th anniversary of Apple’s bricks and mortar foray.

One of the most visible changes is the use of the Apple’s own iPads to present product details and pricing in place of the usual static placards drawing attention to key features of Apple products.

The iPads by contrast also present feature comparisons between different Apple products and as point-of-sale devices are not limited to static displays. Rather Apple uses the firm’s own tablets to offer interactive features.

Among the iPad POS capabilities is the ability to summon an Apple Store employee to assist the customer. The Apple Store 2.0 design has been rolling out across Apple Stores worldwide as they open across different time zones.
