Three new Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs rumoured

Intel’s Sandy Bridge line-up of processors is rumoured to gain three new dual core Pentiums to be released on the 22nd of May.

Fudzilla’s Fuad Abazovic said that the new processors would be added to the firm’s essential and value roeadmap and is part of the migration towards the new LGA 1155 socket.

The new Pentum G620, Pentium G840 and G850 are to be clocked between 2.6GHz and 2.9GHz, armed with 3MB of memory Fudzilla said. The CPUs are reportedly to replace older Clarkdale anmd Wolfdale-based processors.

If the details are correct then Intel appears set to push forward higher performance into the value sector. The most expensive model, the 2.9GHz G850, is said to be offered with a wholesale price of just $86.
