Microsoft is set to incorporate a new feature into the upcoming Windows 8 called the History Vault, according to Winrumours.com report.
The new feature will apparently allow Windows 8 to automatically shadow copy files and and data, effectively creating a time delay backup automatically.
The feature is expected to perform much the same functionality as Apple’s OS X Time Machine which allows users to retrieve previously deleted or edited files.
WinRumours.com previously revealed that Microsoft had begun to distribute a build called Milestone 3 of Windows 8 to OEM partners for testing.
Backing up similar reports, WinRumours also said that the new OS would offer a speedier hibernation system which would be able to suspend and resum with all open documents and running tasks in a matter of seconds.
