Founder of trade association departs following CompTIA merger

Warburton leaves TCA

Keith Warburton, former president and founder of the Technology Channels Association, has resigned from the organisation he founded 18 years ago.

The TCA announced it would operate under the CompTIA – the larger US-based trade group – following a merger deal late last year.

Warburton has decided to now leave altogether, and will be pursuing other interests in the technology market.

He told PCR: "I’m delighted the TCA has become part of such a large trade association as CompTIA, especially with its focus on training and professionalism, and I’m sure the next few years will be very interesting for its members."

CompTIA president and CEO Todd Thibodeaux told us at the time of the merger: “We’ve been in talks with them [TCA] for a year. It’s a great opportunity to better serve members, and that’s the sole reason trade bodies exist – to serve the industries.”
