Internet giant Google has published a new 64-page online magazine for the firm’s ‘partners and advertisers’ called Think Quarterly.
Produced by Google’s UK and Ireland operation, section chief Matt Brittin said: "Think Quarterly is a breathing space in a busy world. It’s a place to take time out and consider what’s happening and why it matters."
The first issue is dedicated to the issue of "data", explaining ways Google customers can "find the magic metrics that will help transform your business," said Brittin.
Some of the features include an interview with Google chief economist Hal Varian who "sinks his teeth into data obesity and how to treat it," and a feature on renoweded statistician Hans Rosling who said: "What people need isn’t more data but a new mindset."
Nigel Shadbolt also discusses his efforts with Tim Berners-Lee to convince the government to publish 5,000 datasets online and uses the feature to advocates the benefits of businesses opening data to the public.
Think Quarterly can either be read via a magazine style flip-view reader or via a web interface on the Thick Quarterly web site.
