Top women in tech celebrated

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Guardian has put together a list of the top 100 women – with a number of notable entries from the technology industry.

Martha Lane Fox, who founded lastminute.com and is leading the government’s campaign to get people online, is listed for her current activities and successes in the dotcom revolution.

Yahoo boss Carol Bartz is celebrated as the first female CEO of a major software company.

Elsewhere prolific blogger Juliana Rotich, who founded Ushahidi.com as a means to uncover violence and crisis areas around the world, is also cited in the listing.
