Tech bosses expected to discuss US economy revival

Jobs, Schmidt and Zuckerberg to meet Obama this week

President Obama has asked the chiefs of Apple, Google and Facebook to meet with him at his business leaders’ event in San Francisco.

Barack is on the West Coast to discuss innovation with Silicon Valley’s top bosses, but has requested a private audience with the big three figureheads of tech.

As part of a drive to revive the US economy, the President is meeting with business leaders across America to discuss strategy.

The Californian technology industry is expected to play a vital part in that revival.

"The president and the business leaders will discuss our shared goal of promoting American innovation, and discuss his commitment to new investments in research and development, education and clean energy," said a White House official earlier this week.

Last Thursday, BarackObama tweeted: “High-speed wireless is how we’ll spark new innovation, new investments, and new jobs, connecting every corner of America to the digital age.”

Will the President look to Jobs, Schmidt and Zuckerberg to realise this vision?
