Management purge may also be on the cards

Nokia rumoured to be eyeing US move

Silicon Valley could be the new home to Nokia’s HQ, following reports that CEO Stephen Elop is said to be considering such a move.

According to The Register‘s sources, the executive board would have to spend most of their time outside Finland, but the Nokia Tampere facility – where much of Nokia’s main development is centred – will be unaffected by a move to the US.

Many of Nokia’s services on the other hand may be affected by the move, most notably the Ovi services, while rumours also circulate that there is an executive and middle management purge on the cards.
