Nvidia have released version 266.58 of the graphics specialist’s software drivers for the firm’s range of GeForce graphics cards.
The new drivers add SLI profiles for several new games and offer improved performance for the GeForce 400 and 500-series of GPUs. The drivers also install new versions of the PhysX drivers as well as updated drivers for cards with HD Audio capability.
Since therRelease 265 of the Microsoft WHQL-certified drivers, Nvidia’s driver set supports 370 different models of Nvidia graphics card and boosts performance up to 12 per cent with SLI technology.
The new version enables Ambient Occlusion in StarCraft II which the company said provides rich, soft shadows and improved depth perception. There’s also a new 3D Vision windowed mode so 3D games can be played in a Window on the desktop, enabling parallel access to email, web and chat applications the firm said.
