BenQ announced two new ‘vertical alignment’ 24-inch LED monitors, the EW2430 and EW2430V.
The vertical alignment (VA) panel is good for a native 3,000:1 contrast ratio which the firm says offers better contrast and detail in dark-coloured movie scenes.
The monitors are also equipped with a dynamic contrast ratio feature which controls the LED backlighting in order to deliver what the manufacturer says equates to a 20,000,000:1 contrast radio.
Both models are equipped with audio line in and out, headphone jack, 2 x HDMI ports D-sub analog video and DVI-D digital inputs. Both models also come equipped with four USB ports while the EW2430V adds video features such as RCA component inputs, PIP/PIB and 3D Deinterface and 3D Noise reduction processing.
BenQ didn’t provide pricing but said that the monitors would be appearing in Europe this month with the rest of the world to follow.
