CES 2011: FinePix HS20EXR is equipped with a 30X zoom lens

Fujifilm zooms in with new FinePix range

Fujifilm announced the launch of the FinePix HS20EXR, a SLR-style digital camera with a new 16 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor and 30X zoom manual optical zoom.

The long reach on the zoom lens of the HS20EXR is the 35mm equivalent of 24mm to 720mm zoom and the camera is also equipped with a tilting 3-inch LCD viewfinder. The camera is capable of high speed continuous shooting at 8 frames per second at full 16 megapixel resolution.

“With the HS20EXR, you’ll never have to buy or change another lens,” said Fujifilm marketing boss David Troy.
The FinePix HS20EXR will appear in March and will be priced at around $500 in the US, no European pricing or availability was announced.

Fuji are also making hefty zoom capability something of a theme with other new cameras such as the 15X capable F500EXR and F550EXR which will cost $330 and $350 when they launch alongside their bigger HS20EXR brother in March.
