Asus has released a pre-CES animated video teaser on YouTube which claims that “current tablet PCs are limited” before introducing the Asus 12-inch ‘e-slate’ EP121.
The video doesn’t feature any footage of the devices themselves but focuses on the Windows 7 and Intel Core i5-powered 12-inch EP121 tablet.
The tablet is firmly billed at as a content creation platform with a full-sized keyboard (presumably shipping with the device as earlier rumoured) and compatibility with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Refreshingly, Asus boss Jonney Shih appears in person on the video saying: “All this is just the beginning, there’s an Eee for everyone,” before inviting viewers to see Asus at CES 2011.
