UK entrepreneur says Britain can lead next digital revolution

Call goes out for IT development tax breaks

Mark Mason, the CEO of the UK’s largest smart phone app developer Mubaloo, has called on the Government to give tax breaks for IT development undertaken by small and medium businesses.

Envisioning a future where companies rely entirely on smartphones which utilise apps to create a virtual workspace, Mason feels that Britain – as a leading consumer of digital technologies – is uniquely placed to reap the rewards.

“We have an opportunity to seize the lead in the business techniques of the future and the Coalition Government must make it possible for companies to invest in their IT development,” said Mason.

“IT investment is being relegated to the subs bench by many companies at the moment but the new digital revolution will affect everyone and we must ensure that Britain and Britain’s next generation of young entrepreneurs are ready to capitalise upon it. The old business models are beginning to fall by the wayside.”
