Steve Jobs: No USB 3.0 for Macs

Steve Jobs has stated that Apple will not be adding USB 3.0 connectivity to its portfolio of products any time soon.

According to Mac World, the outspoken CEO wrote in an email: “We don’t see USB 3 taking off at this time. No support from Intel, for example.”

USB 3.0 is estimated to offer around ten times the performance of its 2.0 predecessor, and Intel is expected to roll out USB 3.0 capable devices next year, so Mac users may have to wait a while.
