Microsoft takes over Westfield

Microsoft has taken over London’s Westfield Shopping Centre with advertising for smartphones running its new mobile operating system.

According to Marketing Week, the campaign begins today and will run for two weeks, during which Windows Phone 7 branding will be splashed across five screens and three billboards across the mall in Shepherds Bush.

The campaign is part of Microsoft’s $400 million WP7 advertising campaign.

Actor Stephen Fry turned out in support of the new operating system at the official launch event earlier this month.
