ACS:Law under fire again as latest list appears online

Personal data of 8,000 more Sky subscribers leaked

The private details of 8,000 more Sky broadband customers who have allegedly illegally shared files have appeared on the internet.

According to BBC News, the list, which also includes information about 400 PlusNet subscribers, appeared following a security breach at intellectual property rights solicitors ACS:Law.

It comes after the names of more than 5,000 Sky users alleged to have shared porn appeared online yesterday.

ACS could be fined up to £500,000 for leaking the personal data, the information commissioner has said.

The latest list contains details of how much compensation was paid to ACS Law by those supposedly illegally sharing files, along with internal case notes. Some emails contain credit card details, while others protest their innocence.
