Microsoft releases new Windows Live Essentials beta

Microsoft has released a new beta version of the software giant’s free Windows software accessories pack, adding 2011 to the name in the process.

Bundling a number of applications, Windows Live Essentials 2011 includes Live Mail, Writer, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Family Safety, Bing Toolbar IE plug-in and the instant messenger client Messenger.

Microsoft had first delivered a beta version of the update almost two months ago but the new beta incorporates new features such as Facebook Chat integration in the Messenger chat client, Flickr export in Movie Maker and geo-location support (for photos etc) in Bing Maps.
