Dell launches M101z mini notebook

Dell has launched the M101z "ultra portable laptop" based on a single or dual core AMD Athlon II Neo CPU.

Dell is offering three base configurations. all with Windows 7 Home Premium and an 11.6-inch wide LED backlit display, with the entry level config starting at £379 with , 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, ATI RS880M graphics and the single core AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor.

An extra £50 adds the K325 dual core processor while the range topping config doubles the ram to 4GB and adds a 320GB hard drive. Dell is quoting up to 6 hours of battery life for the M101z and there’s an optional 9-cell battery available for those that want even more.

While the M101z sports unsurprising features likel Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Webcam, USB ports and Bluetooth 3.0, it’s also available in custom case colours described as Tomato Red, Peacock Blue, Clear Black and Lotus Pink.
