Bare bones system supports Intel Core i3, i5 and i7

Shuttle launches new XPC SH55J2

Small form factor specialist Shuttle has unveiled a new XPC system designed to mate with the latest range of Intel CPUs with or without integrated graphics.

The Shuttle XPC SH55J2 offers a HDMI video output port for use when Intel i-series CPUs with integrated graphics are used but also has supported x16 PCI Express graphics card when used with the Intel Core i7 without integrated graphics.

The system is unusual in being suitable for a broad range of specifications, with lower end Intel CPUs with integrated graphics up to the Core i7 where the dual-slot graphics capability and 300W power supply provides the ability to build a high spec gaming PC in the diminutive Shuttle form factor.

Elsewhere the Shuttle is bristling with features such as 8 channel HD audio, built-in multiformat card reader, gigabit LAN, eSATA port and six external, four internal USB ports. There’s also room for two hard drives internally and the system is equipped with an innovative heat-pipe "Intelligent cooling" system.

Shuttle has updated the European site with more details.
