Vendor to outline gaming applications at Develop Conference

Sony to demo 3D gaming

Sony senior director Mick Hocking will be demonstrating the possibilities for 3D gaming at the Develop Conference in Brighton on July 15th.

His presentation, entitled 3D: The Next Dimension in Gaming, outlines the history of 3D display from 1850 to the present, and explains why it is here to stay.

It will also cover how to optimised a game for 3D, how 3D has changed the medium and the commercial opportunities presented by the 35 million 3D enabled PS3 consoles on the market.

“I’m really excited about being able to give this talk and giving Develop attendees the chance to play some of our 3D titles for themselves,” stated Hocking. “I’ll also be sharing some of the unique tricks and techniques required to create a top quality 3D gaming experience.”

The Develop Conference takes place from July 13th to July 15th at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton. Follow this link to register for the event.
