Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices division could be in line for "major organisational changes" as soon as this week, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
The division includes Microsoft’s Windows Phone operation, along with Zune and Xbox. The WSJ suggests that executives could be on the way out, including chief experience officer and CTO J Allard.
The report points to "increasingly bruising competition" from Apple and Google as a prime factor in the reorganisation.
However, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Microsoft wanted to make changes, as it tries to forge closer links between the different bits of this particular division.
