Strong US demand delays international launches for a second time

UK iPad launch postponed

Apple has again delayed the UK launch of the iPad citing overwhelming demand from the US market.

According to Digital Arts Online, while users who pre-ordered prior to today can expect to receive their order on the original release date of May 28th, any new orders will be delayed until June 7th.

The delays will affect Apple customers in nine countries, including Western Europe, Japan, Canada and Australia.

A month after the US launch, Apple announced that it had already sold a million of the devices.
