Accessories vendor unveils collaborations with Breast Cancer Campaign and gaming firm

Exspect forges new alliances

Exspect will launch a range of Joystick Junkies gaming products later this year, following a licensing agreement between the vendor and the gaming-inspired fashion label.

The initial line will include headphones, covers for the iPod and iPhone, and handheld console covers. The products will be showcased at Los Angeles video games trade show E3, as well as alongside Joystick Junkie’s collections at major fashion events.

“With its strong, recognisable designs and established reputation amongst gamers, Joystick Junkies is the perfect partner for us to collaborate with,” said William Slater, Expect’s VGA product manager. “Alongside the quality of products gamers expect from us, they are sure to love the nod to retro fashion our new range will highlight.”

Exspect has also signed a deal with the Breast Cancer Campaign to create a range of MP3 and video gaming products. Initially it will launch a series of limited edition iPhone cases and protective skins for Mother’s Day, on March 14th.

The firm will follow up these deals with more strategic partnerships through 2010, as it looks to boost its presence in the UK.

“The past year saw some exciting deals for Exspect, including the launch of our official licensed PSP accessories, and we will be building upon those achievements throughout 2010,” said Mike Sanderson, head of development at Exspect. “With a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, we are confident we will grow our customer base even further.”
