Midwich and Micro-P to stock projector range

Casio projects success with new disties

Casio Electronics has signed two new distributors to carry its high brightness projectors in the UK.

Midwich and Micro-P join specialist distie Medium UK in stocking Casio’s recently launched projectors, which contain a hybrid light source that can reach a brightness of 3,000 lumens.

Phil Clark, business development manager at Casio UK, said: “Casio is excited to be expanding its distribution network in the UK. Midwich and Micro-P will help us build on the great work that Medium has already been doing for us in the projector market, and allow us to maximise the opportunities presented by our fantastic new product range. These new trading relationships are part of our strong commitment to the channel, and we are very much looking forward to developing a healthy Casio projector business for all concerned.”

The new projectors contain a light source that uses a ‘world first’ combination of laser, phosphor and an LED. This means they are mercury free and can last up to ten times longer than conventional projector lamps.

Darren Lewitt, divisional director at Midwich, said: “We are very excited by this new breakthrough in green nprojection and the product, without doubt, is very impressive. Clearly this new technology has some very strong environmental and total cost of ownership messages that will appeal to many different sectors."

Micro-P’s vendor and marketing director, Mark Kahr, added: “We are extremely pleased to have been selected as one of a limited line-up of partners for Casio. We see the Casio product as a perfect fit into education and, of course, any ceiling mount environment where it’s difficult for the user to get access to the unit.”
