Games developer Sports Interactive says there's room for closer partnerships between the two sectors

Call for more collaboration between PC and video game industries

Sports Interactive, the company which develops the hugely popular Football Manager video game series, has called for more collaboration between the PC and video games industries.

The high-end PC market is supported to a large degree by video games, though it often gets less attention than the console market from developers and publishers these days.

In an interview with PCR, Miles Jacobson, studio director at the developer, told PCR: “There’s quite a lot of collaboration already, but there’s always room for more. Our game isn’t the most high-end, although we do support many future technologies, which has brought us recognition by many in the industry including Intel –something we are very proud of. Personally, I’d love to see a PC, laptop or Mac on the market for us to recommend to consumers, or keyboards that come with pre-mapped shortcuts. Who knows what will happen in the future!”
