Search engine giant expands advertising campaign

‘Gone Google’ goes global

Google has launched its Apps software advertising campaign internationally, following the company’s announcement that over two million businesses worldwide now use the web-based office package.

The ‘Gone Google’ campaign began in August, when the internet giant asked customers to post comments on Twitter and YouTube about why they chose to use Apps and other Google Enterprise products such as Google Postini Services and the Google Search Appliance.

The initiative is now being expanded to include the UK, France, Canada, Japan, Australia and Singapore, with advertisements planned for print publications and billboards around major cities.

Google counts 20 million individual users among those subscribed to Apps, a cloud-based communication, collaboration and security software package.
