INTERVIEW: Vendor assembles three-tiered approach to fresh marketing push

Acer planning major advertising campaign

Acer has said that it is planning an ‘enormous’ advertising drive for its Acer, Packard Bell and eMachine brands.

Speaking to PCR, Acer UK country manager Bobby Watkins revealed that the vendor will be stepping up its marketing activities throughout the rest of the year as it looks to differentiate its three main brands from each other.

"We will communicate the brands in very different ways," commented Watkins. We have major campaigns planned across all the brands. I would say it’s weighted towards the Acer technology and the Packard Bell fashion messages, and it’s an enormous investment.

"I can’t be specific, but you’ll see it everyday through the second half of the year. We will be dramatically upping the amount of campaigns over the next year."
