Brentford-based Mac reseller promotes key staff as solution strategy comes into force

Computer Warehouse restructures management

Computer Warehouse has restructured its management team as part of its back to basics solution strategy.

The move sees Computer Warehouse’s Apple exemplar representative Mark McCormack moved to the education and sports technology unit. In other moves, Sonny Sahota will head up the firm’s business-to-business division, while Neil Boia will head up the audio team.

The retailer has also hired two new sales staff. Simon Helyer has joined the firm as the head of its publishing and creative division while James Dancer, who has worked on Bafta-nominated shows, has been appointed to head up its video solutions division.

Speaking about the appointments, sales and marketing director Simon Ellson (pictured) said: "To be in a position to hire the calibre of personnel that we are currently attracting within the industry during a time of economic downturn speaks volumes for Computer Warehouse.

"The strategy for 2009 marks a positive change of direction," added Ellson. "Our focus will now be twofold, clearly our existing consumer customer base for whom we remain ‘the UKs favourite Apple reseller’, and our new ‘Pro’ teams who will focus on specialist verticals, these changes are an exciting move for the business."
