New store format trialled in Surrey

PC World and Currys trial joint store

PC World and Currys parent DSGi has launched a trial store combining both brands.

The site, based in Surry, is understood to be 15,000 square foot and contains a product mix incorporating both retailer’s portfolios.

This is in line with a general revamp across all brands. Rebranded and refitted stores traded 15-25 per cent better than normal stores over the Christmas period.

DSGi recently announced a group wide 10 per cent drop in sales for its quarterly results.
