Publisher Dennis pulls the plug on long standing consumer PC magazine

Computer Buyer shut down

Dennis Publishing has axed Computer Buyer, after 18 years on the market.

The March issue – out this Thursday – will be the last ever magazine.

"The market has evolved. Computer Buyer catered for non-technical people buying pieces of technology. Its close rival in that market is Computer Shopper, which is also owned by us," John Garewal, the deputy managing director of Dennis Publishing told MediaGuardian.co.uk. "It makes sense to concentrate on that magazine which is the market leader."
