Gordon Harwood Computers becomes part of London-based firm as it pushes on with expansion plans

Square Group acquires Derbyshire APR

Square Group has acquired Gordon Harwood Computers as part of its countrywide expansion plans.

The London-based Apple Premium Reseller confirmed the purchase of its Derbyshire rival on Friday.

"GHC has a long and established reputation in the Midlands," said managing director of Square Group. "For some time now we have been actively progressing opportunities to open a service operation to cover both this area and Northern England." He added that the firm is looking to inject investment into the firm.

Managing director of GHC, Giles Harwood praised the London-based reseller: "After having founded GHC in 1982, I am delighted that one of the most forward thinking and resourceful independent companies in the Mac market has – in these particularly difficult economic times – recognised the future growth potential of GHC, and will be building on the foundations we first laid all those years ago."
