UK's second largest supermarket to expand non-food trading space to 200,000 sq ft

Asda to open five new Living stores

Asda is set to open a further five Asda Living stores across the UK later this year, bringing the total number of its non-food outlets to 21.

The stores, which are due to open in Bristol, Chester, Llantrisant, Teesside and Wrexham, will bring the floorspace dedicated to non-food retail at the UK’s second largest supermarket to 200,000 sq ft.

Speaking about the openings to Retail Week, Asda Living’s head of acquisitions John Hudson said: "Our expansion plans for Asda Living are on track, which is great news for Asda customers and retail park landlords.

"The pressures on family budgets are increasing each month. Asda Living stores are attracting people to retail parks because the stores provide them with access to a wide range of quality products at Asda’s unbeatable prices."
