Computer vendor Lenovo has formed an alliance with Norwegian communications firm Telenor to create a new range of laptops, in a partnership that covers Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The eight new models will feature in-built Turbo 3G mobile broadband, a radio module and a global positioning service.
The machines, which will be built on Intel’s Centrino 2 chipset will include a trial subscription for 90 days free internet access from Telenor.
“This is the first time we are participating in a partnership with both a PC supplier and a mobile operator in the Nordic region,” said Telenor’s Jan Hole. “We are one of the first with such an offer and believe that we will attract new customers and contribute to even greater progress within mobile broadband.”
