Widget has proclaimed its ‘paper-free’ stand a huge success with visitors proving to be highly positive towards the idea.
Speaking to PC Retail, Widget’s marketing director Mat Jones said: "It’s really cut down on the amount of paper we use. Channel Expo and other events accounted for about 40 per cent of all the paper we use during the year, so its great that this move means we don’t have to worry about producing more paper than we need to."
One visitor told PC Retail: "Yeah, I think it’s a really good idea. It’s great that I don’t have to carry anything more than what I really have too; plus, it give me more space for freebies." Another joked: "At least I can’t lose it. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to these sorts of shows and lost information that I’d really have liked to follow up on."
