Channel Expo 08: The huge popularity of the Eee PC continues at the Asus stand

After a storming period of success since launch, the Eee PC stole the show once again at Asus’ stand during Channel Expo, drawing particular interest from the education sector.

The vendor assured us the stock shortage issues that had affected the product had now been resolved, and that the unit sales were back on track.

As well as the Eee PC, Asus showcased its VX3 Lamborghini 12-inch laptop and the P5Q motherboard.

As well as building its profile and contact lists, the firm is also using its presence at Channel Expo to dispel what it considers to be an inaccurate image of its business from some quarters.

According to the firm, it is often seen as considerably smaller than its actually is, and was keen to highlight the fact it has doubled staff numbers since December.

The 30 year old firm achieved an £11 million turnover last year, and it will be looking build on this basis with the continued success of the Eee PC.
