Shortly after the news that Microsoft is to withdraw popular operating system Windows XP from sales in June, sources are claiming that the long-awaited service pack 3 update will be made available for the system later this month.
TechRadar reports that a leaked release schedule says that SP3 will be made available on April 29th, with Microsoft’s close partners getting access slightly earlier.
SP3 contains fixes for over 1000 known issue with the OS, though many of the issues will already have been resolved through the ongoing automated update process.
