Michael Dell, founder of his namesake company, has laid out his plans to regain the title of world’s biggest PC vendor by concentrating on consumers and developing countries.
He said that the company had missed out by focussing on business computers, and that China and India will key areas for the firm going forward.
"We were not really participating in some of the fastest growing areas of the industry, so we’ve reoriented the company to go after that," he said, reported BBC News. "Let’s say you wanted to buy a Dell computer in a store nine months ago – you’d have searched a long time and not found one. Now we have over 10,000 stores that sell our products."
"We have to create the products and services that will appeal to first-time users in India, the Middle East and China."
