PC Guys, the IT support and repair firm snapped up by Tesco last month (PC Retail January), has announced that it will be vetting all new employees.
Rod Brown, PC Guys’ managing director, explained the move as a way of ensuring that the company could be sure of the quality and credentials of future employees – especially as the company grows.
He said that so far, the company had run into no issues with the scheme, adding that while some had been ‘nonplussed’ at being vetted, none had turned up any problems. He is doubtful that will continue though: "Given the company’s growth rate, I do not expect that to last."
