Vendor introduces new IdeaPad range to its product line, with three new specialist notebooks

Lenovo targets consumer market

Lenovo has announced that it is to launch a new line of consumer laptops with the IdeaPad moniker. The new range is made up of three notebooks, the Y510, Y710 and the U110, and is targeted at gamers and home users.

The U110 is an ultraportable notebook scheduled for release in April, it comes with an 11-inch screen and weighs only 2.3 pounds (1.04 kilograms). Whereas the Y710 and Y510 are scheduled for the end of January, with the former targeted at gamers and the latter as a desktop replacement for home users.

All three laptops use Intel Centrino chips and include Dolby home theatre surround sound, facial recognition and frameless monitors.
