Distributor's parent company forced to admit talks after shares spike

Fayrewood in talks over Interface sale

Fayrewood, the parent company of Interface Solutions, has confirmed that it is in discussions to sell the UK distributor after a sudden spike in its share price.

The news of talks follows on from the sale of its French arm, Banque Magnetique, to DCC-owned Gem last month.

Interface’s managing director, Keith Negal, had last month said he was expecting a cash boost from Fayrewood.

"The company notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms that it is in talks with a third party which may or may not lead to an offer being made for all or part of the company," Fayrewood said in a statement.
