Talks between the two are at a "very advanced stage"

Dell targets Tesco

Talks between Dell and Tesco, that could see the vendor’s computers on the shelf of the UK’s largest supermarket, are at a "very advanced stage" according to Microscope magazine.

The news follows on from Dell’s deals with the first and second largest supermarkets in the world, Wal-Mart, which owns the Tesco’s rival, Asda, and Carrefour earlier this year. Any deal with Tesco would likely see the vendor’s machines on the supermarket’s shelves in the New Year.

According to a source close to the magazine, the talks are at a "very advanced stage". However, Dell and Tesco refused to comment, with the latter saying: "It is not our policy to comment on any potential commercial plans."

The vendor currently has a deal with the Carphone Warehouse in the UK.
