Samsung leads LCD sales

South Korean-based Samsung has overtaken its rival, Dell, to become the world’s number one vendor of LCD monitors according to the latest report from DisplaySearch.

It found that Samsung has shipped 14.4 per cent of all LCD monitors during the third quarter compared to 13.2 per cent by Dell.

Dell’s share was down two per cent year-on-year during both the second and third quarters, while Samsung saw increases of 15 per cent and 31 per cent during the same quarters.
