The first devices based upon Microsoft’s Windows Home Media server software have gone on sale across the globe today, after initially being delayed.
HP is the first vendor to get its hardware onto the shelves, with two versions available from retailers today. Other vendors will be releasing their own versions of the hardware in the coming weeks leading up to 2008.
The devices, which will ship later this month, are currently available for pre-order.
Iomega and Medion have announced that they also plan to have launched their respective devices before the end of the year.
