Shift in media habits comes at expense of TV and radio

Britons’ increasing net use

A study conducted by the BBC has shown that the time that the British spend using their computers to surf online has increased by a massive 158 per cent.

The report, which looked into the UK’s changing media consumption habits, highlighted the increase in use of various new technologies with new media leading the charge, while older media such as TV and radio both experienced falls in usage.

It also noted that people are consuming their media through a variety of different methods with some now watching more TV on their laptops and PCs.
