AMD’s new 45-watt processor hits retail

AMD’s new 45-watt processor range has hit US retail after a month-long delay.

The Athlon X2 BE-series processors, which are based around AMD’s Brisbane, are nearly identical to the earlier Athlon 64 X2 Brisbane models, albeit except for the lower wattage.

The two available models, the Athlon X2 BE-2350 and BE-2300, are currently on sale for around $89.50 (£44) and $95 (£47).
