Aims to help resellers enter networking retail at no extra cost

Netgear and Bell Micro form partnership

Netgear and Bell Micro have formed a partnership aimed at giving retailers a helping hand with selling network solutions in the UK.

The deal, which is part of Bell Micro’s Active Framework Partnership Programme, will see the companies supporting the sale of Netgear’s ProSafe business products including 2/3 switching, SMB storage, wireless networking and firewall solutions.

The partnership is intended to help resellers to enter the networking market with no upfront costs and at minimal risk, safe in the knowledge that they will be fully supported throughout the sales process

The programme has also been set up in such a way that even resellers with no expertise in networking will be able to benefit, whilst also receiving support from Bell Micro.

"We expect this partnership to benefit resellers and their customers by giving them access to a high quality brand that they know and trust," explains Ed Callacher, Networking Divisional Manager of Bell Micro.

"It will enable our customers to supply high quality and cost effective solutions from a well known vendor. In addition, the ProSafe range of switches with their new Lifetime warranty makes NETGEAR a powerful player in the corporate network space."

Mark Power, Managing Director for NETGEAR UK and Ireland, commented, "with no direct channel, partnerships such as this are critical to the growth of our ProSafe range of business products."

"We believe that working in collaboration with Bell Micro will not only create new opportunities for both NETGEAR and Bell, but it will also open the door to resellers who currently don’t possess the skill set to deliver networking solutions," added Power.
