Distributor Gem to supply combined TV/PC meivo.tv

Let there be rock

Usually known for its notebooks, rock has created an LCD TV with an integrated PC – in the Elonex (RIP) and iMac tradition – designed specifically for the video on demand/IPTV generation.

Meivo.tv has a 22 inch screen, a Core 2 Duo E4300 processor, a gig of DDR2, full wireless connectivity and Vista home premium all for £999. You can upgrade to an E6300 CPU for an extra £99.

Nick Boardman, CEO of rock said, “Gem distribution have the experience and ability of taking the meivo brand to the next level. We’ve had a great response from the technology and consumer market and now want to convert that interest into sales.”

Simon Lee, commercial director of Gem said, “We are very happy to be working with rock and look forward to launching meivo.tv in the UK. The LCD TV with an integrated computer is an ideal fit for our customer base and current portfolio of products.”

Gem will be showcasing the meivo series at the CEDIA Expo show at the Excel Centre in London on the 26th, 27th and 28th June 2007.
